Arab Parliament calls for immediate intervention to stop Israeli occupation’s settlement expansion plans
Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Arab Parliament affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s plans to establish thousands of new settlement units in the West Bank are a blatant challenge to international law and resolutions of international legitimacy. It called on the international community to break its silence and intervene immediately to stop its implementation.
The Arab Parliament said in a statement on Wednesday reported by Wafa News Agency that these plans threaten to seize more Palestinian lands. It called for serious international measures that oblige the occupation to implement United Nations resolutions that confirm the illegality of settlement activity and call for its cessation.
The occupation recently announced a plan to establish about 4,500 settlement units to expand several settlements built on the lands of the city of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and separate areas in the northern West Bank.
