CAIRO, (ST)_The General Secretariat of the Arab Lawyers Union has condemned the Turkish aggression on Syria, expressing its solidarity with the Syrian government and people in confronting all forms of terrorism.
The union’s Secretary General Mekkawi Bin Issa said in a statement released on Thursday that the Turkish aggression has purposely targeted unarmed civilians and poses a threat to Syria’s stability and security and to economy.
“The Turkish forces have launched rockets on Syrian territories – the last of which was the Turkish rocket attack on January 23 on Tal Ref’at city in Aleppo countryside that aimed to kill people and to destroy their houses and ancient sites. ..5 civilians including 2 women and 2 children were martyred and 8 others were seriously injured in this attack,” the statement added.
It pointed out that the Turkish attack on Tal Ref’at area is a repetition of previous attacks that happened 3 years ago.
