Arab Lawyers Condemn Internationally-Backed Terrorism Facing Syria

CAIRO, (ST)-Arab lawyers have condemned the regionally and internationally- backed organized terrorism and the crimes being perpetrated by terrorist groups in Syria.

Concluding their 23rd Conference yesterday in Cairo with Syria’s participation, the Arab lawyers issued a statement in which they slammed the support provided by the government of the Justice and Development party in Turkey to the terrorist groups which have been committing horrible crimes against the Syrian people.   They condemned the acts of systematic destruction committed by the terrorists against Syria’s infrastructure and historical monuments, stressing their rejection to all forms of interference in Syria’s affairs, particularly the French stance which has backed terrorism in the country.

Participants in the conference also condemned the unjust economic siege imposed on the Syrian people and expressed support for the national reconciliation efforts exerted by the Syrian state to solve the crisis.

They confirmed that the occupied Syrian Golan and Liwa Iskenderun are Arab lands the geographic features of which shouldn’t be changed.

On the other hand, the lawyers condemned the illegal decision made to suspend Syria’s membership in the Arab League and called for restoring all kinds of ties with Syria and for lifting the unjust siege.

On the Palestinian cause, the Arab lawyers reiterated the right of the Palestinian people to struggle to regain their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the right of repatriation in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the right to resist the Zionist occupation.
