Arab journalists and writers hail President Al-Assad’s participation in Jeddah Summit

Capitals – A number of Arab journalists and writers have stressed that Syria’s return to the Arab League and President Bashar Al-Assad’s participation in Jeddah summit has formed the most important event in this summit and confirmed Syria’s role as an important and essential element in joint Arab action.

The Emirati writer Ahmad Ibrahim wrote in an article published by the Emirati “Al-Watan” newspaper that Syria has been the home of great ambitions despite all the difficulties it has passed through, stressing that Syria’s return requires Arab support to help it effectively contribute to the Arabs’ progress.

In an article published by the Emirati “Al-Khaleej” newspaper, Lebanese Writer Nasim Al-Khouri said that Syria, throughout its history, has been the resort for all peace and security seekers and today, Syria again extends its hands to its Arab brothers with the aim of joining efforts for better and promising future for all Arab countries.

He added that Jeddah summit was actually “Syria’s summit” and it was an important step towards better Arab future, hailing President Al-Assad’s participation in this summit after long years of destruction and wars produced by the so-called “Arab Spring”. He stressed that Syria, under the leadership of President Al-Assad will be safe against all attempts that target its people, security and stability.

The Lebanese journalist Mohammad Sadeq Al-Husseini, said in an article published by “Al-Binaa” newspaper, that Jeddah Summit was “the summit of President Al-Assad par excellence”.

He added that the summit was practically able to retaliate against the American schemes against Syria, as it identified the challenges facing the Arab nation and discussed means of confronting these challenges.

For his part, Director of “Dal” Media Center and Lebanese analyst Faysal Abdel Sater said that within five minutes, President Al-Assad managed to draw up the features of a future plan for joint Arab action to face challenges, affirming that President Al-Assad’s participation in the summit was the most notable event that grabbed the limelight.
