Arab and international parties and personalities in Spain congratulate the Syrian people on the success of the presidential elections

Madrid (ST): Arab and international parties, associations and personalities in Spain have affirmed that the results of the presidential elections in Syria demonstrated to the whole world the ability of the Syrian people to achieve this accomplishment despite all the pressure exerted on them, choosing their president and determining their future without allowing any party to interfere in its affairs.

The European Solidarity Front with Syria in Spain said in a statement on the occasion of the victory of President Bashar al-Assad in the presidential elections: “Despite all the harsh conditions that Syria is going through, the Syrian people, are the only ones who have this legitimate right, can achieve the constitutional entitlement, choose their president and decide their future without permission for any party to interfere in its affairs”.

The Front also condemned the attempts of Western countries to disrupt and influence the results of these elections by obstructing the return of normal life to Syria and the continued imposition of inhuman coercive measures on the Syrian people that increase their suffering, especially in light of the outbreak of the Corona pandemic.

The Front affirmed that the presidential elections in Syria took place according to all legal standards, asking Syria’s enemies to stop the systematic campaigns of disinformation in an attempt to disrupt the legitimacy and legality of the elections.

In turn, the head of the anti-imperialist committee in the region of Catalonia, Manuel Sarkis, congratulated the Syrian people on the victory of President al-Assad in the presidential elections, referring to the greatness of the Syrian people and their insistence on electing and choosing their president despite the attempts of imperialism and Zionism and their agents to interfere in the internal affairs of Syria and influence the results of these elections by preventing some Syrians from the right to vote, as what happened in Turkey, France and Germany, and attacks on voters in other countries, as what happened in Lebanon.

Sarkis explained that the election results are evidence of the Syrians’ confidence in the leadership of President Al-Assad, who was and  is able to preserve Syria’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and the dignity of its people.

The members of the Syrian Arab community in the region of Catalonia congratulated President al-Assad’s victory in the presidential elections, noting that this constitutional achievement and victory is the fruit of the steadfastness of President al-Assad, the Syrian people and the achievements of the brave Syrian army men  and the sacrifices of its righteous martyrs in the face of the fiercest war in contemporary history, renewing the pledge that they will be loyal soldiers for their country under the leadership of President Al-Assad.
