Arab and international figures call for an end to the Western coercive measures imposed on Syria

Capitals, (ST)  The Head of the Maronite General Council in Lebanon, former Minister Wadih al-Khazen called for an end to the unilateral western coercive measures imposed on Syria.

Al-Khazen said in a statement to a SANA “these measures have increased the human suffering of the Syrian people over the past years due to terrorism and its supportersHe stressed that the imposition of these coercive measures came as a result of Syria’s positions rejecting the policy of the West, calling on the world to take urgent action to end these unjust coercive measures.

Dr. Hazaa al-Sabri, Secretary of the Political Affairs of the Yemeni Council for Peace and Solidarity, said in a statement to  SANA that the time has come to end the unjust coercive economic measures imposed on the Syrian people.  He stressed that it has become obligatory for the peoples of the world who love peace and freedom to be at the forefront of those demanding the lifting these coercive measures.

Al-Sabri called on the United Nations, the World Council for Human Rights, all concerned bodies and organizations and all countries of the world to work to end all coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people in order to be able to confront the the spread of the Corona epidemic that threatens human life.


On the other hand, the editor-in-chief of the Hungarian Blue Danube”, Sawsan Adnan stressed that the continued imposition of Western coercive measures on Syria is no longer acceptable, especially in light of the Corona pandemic that afflicts all countries of the world.

She said in a statement to SANA in Budapest that one of the paradoxes of the age is that the western media talks about providing aid to other countries and forgets that the people of Syria are suffering from an unjust blockade and this country, Syria, despite the blockade, stood steadfastly in the face of terrorism.
