CAPITALS, (ST)- Arab and international parties and personalities have condemned the new coercive economic measures imposed by the United States on Syria through the so-called “Caesar Act”, stressing that these measures are nothing but a desperate attempt to affect Syria’s ability to withstand the terrorism war.
In Cairo, the Arab Socialist Party of Egypt said in a statement that the “Caesar Act” aims at supporting the terrorist organizations which are currently receiving heavy blows by the Syrian Arab army.
The US administration has created terrorism and funded terrorist organizations. It has repeatedly acknowledged this, but now it seeks besieging Syria.
Member of the Egyptian Parliament Ahmad Imbabi said that the so-called “Caesar Act” serves terrorism and hinders the progress of the Syrian Army in the battle against terrorism.
In Sanaa, Abdul Malek Hasan al-Hijari, Advisor of the Higher Political Council in Yemen, Secretary General of the Yemeni al-Karama Party, said that the gains being achieved by the Syrian army in the war on terrorism are the main motive for issuing this US legislation. He pointed out that the “Caesar Act” coincides with targeting and stealing Syrian oil facilities.
On his part, Abdul Mun’em Qaddoura, Head of the Studies and Information Center in Hungaria, said that the new US sanctions against Syria are the result of the failure of the United States to achieve its scheme in Syria .
