Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid condemned the Zionist attack on the Al-Taba’een School in the Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than a hundred people and the injury of dozens, warning that these crimes will continue as long as the Zionist entity remains unaccountable.
“After a series of crimes committed by the Zionist entity that usurped the Palestinian lands, this entity returns to commit a new massacre, taking advantage of the silence of the international community and the major countries concerned with maintaining international balance and influencing the resolution of the United Nations.” Rashid said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA)
“The blood of the Palestinian people will continue to shed as long as the occupying entity remains free and far from accountability and responsibility by the international community,” Rashid expressed strongly.
In turn, the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed in a statement its strong condemnation and denunciation of the barbaric Zionist attack, adding: “These repeated attacks against civilians are a flagrant violation of all international norms and conventions, including international law and international humanitarian law, and also show the Zionist entity’s disregard for international initiatives aimed at stopping the aggression against Gaza.”
The Ministry renewed its expression of full solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people in their plight, and stressed the need for the international community, and Islamic countries in particular, to take a firm and unified stance to stop these ongoing Zionist crimes and provide immediate protection to the defenseless Palestinian people.
Algeria, for its part, demanded holding an open emergency session of the UN Security Council be held next Tuesday regarding the massacre.
According to a diplomatic source in New York, whose statements were reported by the Algerian news agency WAG, Algeria’s demand is based on the recent dangerous developments in the Palestinian territories, and was submitted in consultation with the State of Palestine, and it enjoys the support of other member states of the Security Council.
In addition, Algeria renewed in a statement: “In its capacity as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, its commitment to Resolution No. 2735 issued on June 10, which calls for the activation of an immediate, permanent and sustainable ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, especially in light of the current developments and the intensification of the Israeli aggression against the Strip Gaza and his systematic pursuit of escalation on multiple fronts and sides in the region.”
Meanwhile, In Iran, the head of the Islamic Shura Council, Muhammad Baqir Qalibaf, twitted on X-platform “The ruling criminal gang in the occupied Palestinian territories once again committed a heinous massacre against more than 100 displaced and innocent children who were taking shelter in the Al-Taba’een School in Gaza, and once again proved that it seeks to mock human values and brutally exterminate Palestinians. We strongly condemn this crime.”
He added: “The international community is incapable of prosecuting the Zionist entity. The support of Western governments, especially America, encourages this criminal gang to continue this genocide,”
Qalibaf stressed that the Zionist entity only understands the language of force, and Islamic governments must stop the Zionist killing machine and what it is committing of genocide and crimes against humanity, and not only issuing statements.
For his part, Acting Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani stressed in a phone call with his Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsud the need for all Islamic countries to take effective measures to deter the Zionist entity with one voice and in harmony among themselves, expressing his strong condemnation of the Israeli entity’s heinous crime against the Taba’een School.
In a related context, the Indonesian Foreign Minister considered that the crimes of the Zionist entity, including the recent assassination in Tehran, constitute a threat and danger to international peace and security, noting that Indonesia condemns the assassination and considers it a violation of the national sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
