A number of Arab and foreign delegations of businessmen, economists and industrialists who are interested in various Syrian industries, over the three past days, visited “Expo Syria 2024” for Syrian exports held at the new fairgrounds in Damascus.
These delegations confirmed that the first edition of the Expo included diversity of participating national companies distributed over an area of 50 thousand square meters. The companies showcased industrial, textile, medical and food products, which is an indication Syria’s return, with its unique and high-quality products, to the foreign markets.
They also considered the exhibition as an opportunity to exchange experiences, praising the great turn out of the exhibition and the quality of the products offered for export.
During his visit to the pavilions at the exhibition and briefing on the various offers, products and projects offered by these companies, Muhammad Al-Bakai, who came from Libya, saw that this year’s Syrian Export Exhibition is an important opportunity to enhance cooperation between Arab countries and Syrian companies and hold more meetings with company officials, businessmen and merchants as well as increasing the volume of cooperation to benefit from the potential of export and import between them.
From the Yemeni delegation, Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Aziz considered that communication with Syrian companies is not the first of its kind, as cooperation has taken place with them on more than one level, especially at the level of the pharmaceutical industries, which are characterized by quality and efficient products in this field, pointing out that this exhibition brought back to Syria, its glory and the possibility of strengthening its presence abroad again, despite the difficulties and challenges it faces.
“The Syrian pharmaceutical industry is distinguished by its efficiency and quality,” according to a delegation of pharmaceutical manufacturers from Pakistan who visited the exhibition pavilions and briefed on all Syrian products, including medicines.
Both Yousef Serfas and Farhan Akhtar pointed out that enhancing cooperation between pharmaceutical manufacturing companies is necessary to benefit from the various experiences and models and employ them in a way that serves the medical fields, as Syrian medicines are distinguished by their quality and the continuation of Syrian facilities in various fields to work despite the repercussions of the war and the economic conditions that Syria is going through.
