Antonov: Washington will sooner or later realize that there is no alternative to positive relations with Russia

Washington (ST): The Russian Ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, affirmed that Washington will sooner or later abandon its aggressive policy towards Russia, and will realize that there is no alternative to positive relations with it based on pragmatism and mutual respect, in a way that serves the interests of peoples, states, and all humanity.

The “RT” website quoted Antonov as saying at a reception at the Russian embassy on the occasion of the Victory Day celebration: “Russia remembers the brotherhood of arms with the Americans during World War II and cannot forget that.”

Antonov pointed out that “today the Russian forces are once again fighting fascism, but now in Ukraine,” explaining that “the attention of many people in this country is being diverted and programmed towards war against Russia.  I consider it the duty of each of us to convey the historical truth to our children and grandchildren and tell them about the heroes who gave us a chance to live.”
