Antonov: Washington is trying to prolong the conflict in Ukraine

Washington (ST): The Russian ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov affirmed on Friday that the United States is trying to prolong the conflict in Ukraine, pointing out that allocating new financial aid to the Kiev regime will not lead to Russia’s defeat.

Sputnik quoted Antonov as saying: “Washington is prolonging the conflict, and a kind of insane desire to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia can be observed. All these ambitions are doomed to failure.”

Yesterday, US President Joe Biden asked Congress for $ 13 billion in additional funding to continue providing Ukraine with military aid during the next year.
