Antonov warns the United States against continuing to support the Kiev regime

Washington (ST) – Russia’s Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov warned Washington and its allies against supplying Ukraine with more weapons.

Russia Today website quoted Antonov as saying in a statement today: “We call on the United States and its allies not to cross the ‘red lines’ that they have approached. Stop pumping the Kiev regime with lethal arms. It will only lead to new victims and destruction, as well as further prolonging the conflict.”

Antonov stressed that the White House’s statements about its intention to continue supporting Ukraine with weapons are clear evidence that Washington maintains its status as a partner in the conflict.

“Such assistance, as well as providing Kiev with intelligence, instructors and combat guidelines, leads to further escalation and increases the risks of a clash between Russia and NATO,” the Russian diplomat noted. “Not to speak of Ukrainian forces repeatedly using Western arms to hit civilian infrastructure and residential buildings.”
