Antonov: The NATO summit demonstrates the alliance’s desire to concentrate its forces on Russia’s borders

Washington (ST): The Russian ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, confirmed today that the NATO summit in the Lithuanian capital, Vilnius, revealed the alliance’s intention to direct more forces towards Russia’s borders.

A statement by Ambassador Antonov, reported by RIA Novosti said: “The summit in Vilnius showed the alliance’s tendency to intensify its military presence on the Russian borders. Russia has no option to back down, and the hostile summit decisions will not shake our confidence in the correctness of our actions”.

Antonov added: “The Russian leadership has no doubts that the tasks for which the special military operation to protect Donbas was launched will be fully implemented.”
