Antonov: Any attack on Crimea is an attack on the rest of the Russian lands

Washington (ST): The Russian ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, warned the United States that any Ukrainian attack on the Crimea peninsula is tantamount to an attack on the rest of the Russian lands, and it will be met with a response.

Antonov said in a statement today, according to RIA Novosti: “I want to warn representatives of the American administration against frivolous judgments in their statements about Crimea, especially with regard to the Kiev regime’s blessing to launch air strikes on the peninsula.”

Ambassador Antonov added: “Let me remind you that we will regard strikes on these lands as an attack as on any other region of Russia, and it is important for the United States to be fully aware that there will be retaliatory measures by Russia.”

Commenting on the information about the possible delivery of F-16 fighters to Kiev, Antonov expressed his belief that the United States has completely subjugated the G7 member states to its own line regarding the conflict in Ukraine.
