Moscow (ST): The Russian ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov considered that attempts to accuse Russia of provoking a food crisis in the world are part of the information war directed against it.
The (RT) Website quoted Antonov as saying in response to the hostile statements issued by senior officials in the US administration regarding food security: “They are trying to accuse Russia of provoking a food crisis, and using food as a well-known weapon in the information war that is being waged against our country.” He added: “It is the Russian Federation that makes a significant contribution to world food security, acting as a reliable supplier of agricultural products.”
Antonov emphasized that “comparing the agricultural export potential of Russia and Ukraine is pointless, as the shares in global markets differ greatly.”
