Washington (ST): Anti-racism demonstrations continued today in the US and other world capitals despite the oppression practiced by police forces in suppressing these demonstrations.
In the US, popular anger has increased as US President Donald Trump stepped up his provocative statements in which he threatened to use the army and more cruel tools to suppress the peaceful protestors whom he described as terrorists.
The US police and army responded to Trump’s orders and intensified their cruel measures to repress the peaceful demonstrations using rubber-coated bullets and gas bombs. The US social media outlets circulated a video showing US policemen tormenting an old man who was bleeding on the ground and a police officer was preventing anyone from hospitalizing him.
In a similar incident, a US police officer prevented a woman with diabetes from obtaining the insulin drug.
The demonstrations extended to many world capitals including Holland, Britain, France, Germany and Austria. The anti-racism protests also reached Africa as thousands of protesters gathered near the US capital in Nairobi chanting slogans that denounce the US racist policy.
Reference should be made to the fact that a number of protesters filed a lawsuit against the US administration because of its excessive use of force to disperse the peaceful protestors.
