Anti-Narcotics Department seizes 4,000,000 Captagon pills in Lattakia 

LATTAKIA, Apr.12, (ST)-As part of the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to combat the scourge of drugs, the Anti-Narcotics Branch in Lattakia seized a warehouse containing a press used to manufacture Captagon pills.

“The operation came after receiving accurate information about suspicious activity at one of the sites. The site was closely monitored , and a raid was then carried out in cooperation with the Public Security Department. This resulted in the seizure of a press used to manufacture narcotic pills, in addition to large quantities of pills intended for smuggling,” the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.

It clarified that the number of pills seized amounted to approximately 4,000,000 Captagon pills, which were professionally hidden inside five thousand iron bars, in preparation for export outside the country.

The warehouse is affiliated to the former regime’s Fourth Division.
