Anaqid… a Youth Team in Daraa Seeks to Consolidate Cultural Identity

Daraa (ST) – 35 youths from Daraa governorate established a social cultural team called “Anaqid” that aims to contribute in building a promising generation .They dedicate their efforts to deepen the Syrian cultural identity and enhance the capabilities and talents of young people and adolescents.

The team leader in the southern region, Rawan Hamai, said that the team is working on holding free courses in the fields of programming, developing the talents of reading, writing, drawing, singing, Arabic calligraphy, digital photography, digital journalism, and building actors. They are also preparing trainers with courses in communication skills, activities, games, and competitions for children with Down syndrome to encourage their involvement in society.

One of the young team members, Ahmed Yassin Muhammad Eid Al-Sirwan, said that they participated in an event called Earth’ Angels, through which they targeted children with Down syndrome with the aim of bringing joy to their souls and promoting their integration into society.
