An investment license for a project to manufacture solar energy panels in the countryside of Damascus
The Syrian Investment Agency (SIA) announced granting an investment license for a project to manufacture solar energy panels in the industrial city of Adra, at an estimated cost of more than 81 billion Syrian pounds, and with a production capacity of 150,000 panels annually.
The director of the SIA, Madian Diab told SANA News Agency that granting the license for the project comes in the light of the encouragement to establish electricity generation projects based on renewable energies.
According to Diab, the project aims to produce high-quality solar panels at reasonable prices that meet the growing demand for them locally and reduce the quantities imported from them, adding that the project is expected to secure 53 new job opportunities.
