An international exhibition of shoes and leather with the participation of 100 Syrian, Arab and foreign companies

Damascus,( ST) – With the participation of 100 Syrian, Arab and foreign companies, the international exhibition of shoes, leathers and production requirements “Sila” fall and winter 2019-2020, which will last for four days, kicked off today in Damascus Fair ground in Damascus.

The exhibition was organized by the Arab Federation of Leather Industries, the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and the Committee of Leather Industries in the Aleppo Chamber of Industry. It includes a wide range of the latest leather products, including men’s, women’s and children’s shoes, bags, clothing, accessories and related goods.

The exhibition is an important  event for Syrian leather and footwear manufacturers with the participation of businessmen from many Arab and friendly countries and the possibility of contracting with Syrian companies who are participating in the exhibition.

In a statement to reporters, Minister of Industry Mohammad Maan Zain Al-Abidin underlined that the exhibition which offers the latest models of Syrian leather products and shoes is a message of defiance to the sanctions imposed on Syria and an important message for the return of Syrian industries to the previous era, stressing the importance of Arab participation in the exhibition along with its Syrian counterparts.

More than 150 Syrian and Arab companies took part in the 8th Sila exhibition last February which formed a platform to promote leather industries, announcing the return of this industry to foreign markets after years of terrorist war on Syria.
