An initiative to light vital streets in the cities of Nawa and Izraa in Daraa Countryside with solar energy

Daraa (ST): The initiative (Light My Darkness), launched by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Daraa, resulted in lighting some vital streets in the cities of Nawa and Izraa with alternative energy.

The head of the Red Crescent branch, Dr. Ahmed Al-Masalmeh, in a statement to SANA news reporter, pointed to the importance of street lighting with alternative energy to give citizens a sense of safety while moving around at night, and to reduce the possibility of accidents, due to shortages in electricity caused by the sanctions imposed by the west on the country .

In turn, the head of the Izraa City Council, Eng. Imad Al-Shouha, said in a similar statement that the city council, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch and with the support of the Italian International Cooperation Organization, installed 10 solar lighting devices on the main street, in front of the water well in the industrial area, in the vicinity of the health care center and in Izra’a al-Balad area.
