An Important Achievement For Syrian SportS in the World Junior Weightlifting Championship

Lima-(ST)- The Syrian weightlifting team made an important achievement in the World Junior Weightlifting Championship currently being held in Peru by winning three gold and two silver medals.

Our national team’s weightlifter, Mohammed Al-Kateb, was able to win gold in the snatch with 147 kg, silver in the cleantre, with 174 kg, and gold with a total of 321 kg, while weightlifter Ahmed Al-Shamaa won gold with the weightlifting with 174 kg, silver with a total of 313 kg, and came fourth in the snatch with 139 kg.

284 male and female players representing 51 countries are participating in the World Championship.
