A large number of Syrian artifacts are currently displayed by the National Library of China within an exhibition for Syrian antiquities opened on Friday.
The exhibition, which was organized in accordance with an agreement between the General Directorate of Antiquities and Museums (GDAM) in Syria and the Foundation for Art Exhibitions in China, will be opened for visitors as of June 25th and will continue for the coming three months.
This important cultural event affirms the deep-rooted historical relations between Syri and China, according to the heads of the National Library and the Foundation for Art Exhibitions in China.
On his part, Fadi Wassouf, the official in charge of the cultural file at the Syrian Embassy in China, noted the strong cultural ties between the two countries, stressing the important role of such exhibitions in enhancing ties between the two friendly peoples of Syria and China and in further introducing the Syrian civilization to the Chinese friends.
Wassouf said that the exhibition is one of the most important cultural events held in Beijing since the outbreak of COVID-19, expecting that this event will succeed in achieving its goals given the historical value of the exhibited artifacts.
