An employee of the US State Department accuses Biden of complicity in the genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza

Opposition voices continue from within the US State Department concerning the support of   Joe Biden’s administration for Israel’s crimes in the besieged Gaza Strip.

After the resignation of two ministry employees last month in protest against Washington’s support for the Israeli aggression against Gaza, a third employee in the ministry launched a furious  attack on Biden, accusing him publicly of  “complicity in genocide” against the Palestinians.

In her comment on the request submitted by the US President to Congress regarding allocating more military aid to Israel, the American website Axios quoted Sylvia Yacoub, an employee in the Office of Middle Eastern Affairs at the US State Department, as tweeted on the X platform addressing  Biden: “You are complicit in genocide” .

The website explained that Yaqoub studied public policy at the University of Michigan, and later obtained a scholarship to study foreign policy and the Arabic language at Georgetown University, and is now working on coordinating the so-called “telegram of dissatisfaction” through a secret internal channel to employees of the US State Department regarding the White House’s policy towards  Israel.

The dissatisfaction telegrams are supposed to remain within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while senior officials are keen to maintain their confidentiality.

US State Department officials Josh Paul and Lara Friedman resigned from their positions, in protest against the blind support provided by the Biden administration to the Israeli occupation entity, whether with weapons or diplomatic and logistical support.
