Damascus (ST): An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale hit last night 43 km northwest of the city of Hama. The National Seismological Center stated in a that the tremor occurred at 22:40 local time, 43 km northwest of the city of Hama.

An earthquake measuring 3 degrees on the Richter scale struck on December 7, 7 km north of the city of Hama, and another, measuring 4.8 degrees northwest of Idlib, on December 18.
