An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale hits vicinity of Syrian coast
Tonight an earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale struck off the Syrian coast, 22 kilometers northwest of the city of Latakia.
The National Seismological Center said in a statement: “The stations of the national seismic monitoring network at the center recorded an earthquake measuring 4.3 degrees on the Richter scale at 19:12 off the Syrian coast, 22 kilometers northwest of the city of Latakia, and at a depth of 13 kilometers.”
The Center said that the epicenter of the earthquake was at the intersection of longitude 35.71 and latitude 35.72.
