An American website: Israel controls CNN’s news coverage and its reports

The American website  “The Intercept”  revealed that Israel controls all foreign news organizations operating inside the occupied Palestinian territories, mainly the American “CNN” network, and subjects the reports and news items issued by it to strict monitoring that serves Israel’s   lies, especially about its brutal crimes in the Gaza Strip.

In the context of a report prepared by journalist Daniel Yugoslav, the website said that any journalist affiliated with CNN who works to cover news of occupied Palestine, whether he stays in the Middle East, the United States, or any other place in the world, must submit his work to CNN office which is directly under the control of the Israeli occupation forces in occupied Jerusalem, in order to review and monitor its content and obtain approval to publish it or not.

The Intercept website pointed out that this matter does not apply to CNN only, but also to all foreign news organizations operating in the occupied Palestinian territories, which are subject to the same monitoring processes and are dictated to specific topics for coverage.

The website quoted a member of the CNN crew, who requested anonymity for fear of professional retaliation, that the policy of the so-called “internal review” had a clear impact on the coverage of the war on Gaza.

The report explained that CNN management directed its employees from the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza on how to write about the aggression and the narrative that should be adopted in preparing reports about the Al-Aqsa Flood operation, including focusing on the fact that the Palestinian Ministry of Health is under the control of the resistance when referring to the statistics of martyrs. .

The CNN  also worked to prevent the publication of statements issued by the resistance under the pretext that they were propaganda and incitement speeches. It also prevented the use of the term war crime when talking about the international accusations facing the Israeli occupation authorities, and prevented the use of the phrase “Israeli bombing” and replaced it with “explosions” in Gaza that are not attributed to any party. .

Since the beginning of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood and the Israeli aggression on Gaza last October, the American and Western media have adopted unilateral language and a biased framework based on distorting facts in covering what is happening in the occupied Palestinian territories, and have used a clear approach that suppresses and silences any voice on the part of the Palestinians or their sympathizers to explain What actually happens.
