An aid convoy from Lebanon to the people affected by the earthquake in Aleppo

Aleppo, (ST) – A humanitarian aid convoy arrived on Sunday in Aleppo Governorate from Lebanon. The aid convoy was  organized by Hezbollah, to support those affected by the earthquake. It included 29 trucks loaded with 600 tons of medical and food supplies.

The Director of Operations in the Lebanese Civil Defense Unit, Jihad Farahat, said in a statement to reporters that the convoy was sent by the Lebanese people to the Syrian people. It includes the various needs of the people affected by the earthquake to be distributed to the shelters. He said that Hezbollah launched, since the first day of the earthquake, a donation campaign, and the people of the resistance responded to it. The first convoy was sent to Latakia Governorate, and the second convoy arrived today in Aleppo Governorate.

Farhat offered condolences on behalf of the Lebanese people to the Syrian people, the Syrian government for the victims of the earthquake. He declared on behalf of the Hezbollah leadership, readiness to provide everything that is requested according to the capabilities in this field.
