Ammunition Bound for Terrorists Seized in Southern Sweida
SWEIDA– Popular defense groups seized a car transporting explosives and ammunition bound for terrorist groups in Eastern al-Badiya (desert), according to SANA.
The defense groups ambushed the car in al-Efeineh village in the southern countryside of the southern Sweida province.
The load included a number of RPG rounds, weapons charges, a 23 mm cannon’s barrel and over 70 kg of TNT, a source at Sweida Governorate told SANA on Saturday.
Ten days ago, the popular defense groups thwarted an attempt by terrorist to smuggle weapons and ammunition from the eastern countryside of Daraa to Eastern al-Badiya.
60 mm mortar round, B9 shells, RPG rounds, grenades, bullets and shoulder-fired rocket were confiscated in the operation, which took place at Kou Hadar area in northern Sweida.
