Amir Abdullahian calls on the international community to take action to stop the Israeli attacks on Syria

During his meeting with the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Syria, Geir Pedersen, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian called on the international community to make serious efforts to stop the Israeli entity’s attacks on Syria and the violation of this country’s territorial integrity.

According to the Iranian News Agency “IRNA”, the situation in the region was discussed during the meeting, where Abdullahian stressed the need for serious determination of the international community and the cooperation of the countries of the region and international institutions in order to combat terrorism decisively and effectively.

For his part, Pedersen expressed his appreciation for the constructive role played by Iran in combating terrorism and helping in the political solution to the crisis in Syria, including its constructive role in the Astana process.

Abdullahian arrived in New York to participate in the United Nations Security Council meeting, to review the latest developments in the region and the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza at the level of the foreign ministries of the member states of this Council.
