Americans caught up by ‘self-interested’ Trump

Tehran – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said what US President Trump does is an embarrasment for a nation that claims to be the leader of the world, adding that Americans have been caught up by a president who lacks political experience. .

Speaking in Parliament open session on Wednesday, Larijani said last night all people heard the ‘ridiculous words’ of US President Donald Trump who has been playing a ‘diplomatic show’ during the past year, IRNA  reported.

‘One day, Trump announced in the United Nation that he would devastate the North Korean nation and mocked the country’s leader Kim Jong Un, and another day forgot all of his words and described him as a ‘respectable individual’, called for holding negotiations with him,’ Larijani said.

Iranian Parliament speaker added that one day Trump threatened to impose sanctions on the European Union commodities while on the other day he granted exemptions to his European allies.

In the meantime, US president one day announced that he would withdraw from Syria very soon, but two days afterward he bombarded several regions in this Arab country.

Now the question is this,’Are such measures not a source of disgrace for a country that claims to lead the world?’ Larijani asked.

He said even the US allies are trying to control Trump and prevent him from taking foolish measures.

US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that Washington would pull out of Iran nuclear deal and reinstate nuclear sanctions on Iran.

This is while most world powers including Russia, China, and European Union have repeatedly stressed that keeping the deal is in the interest of world peace and security.

International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has also confirmed 11 times that Iran has been committed to its obligations under the nuclear deal.
