American soldier sets himself on fire in protest against Israeli aggression on Gaza

Washington-(ST)- An American soldier was seriously injured after he set himself on fire in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington in protest against the Israeli war that his country supports against the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza.

The Washington Fire Department posted on the X platform, according to France-Presse Agence, that ambulance and medical personnel rushed to the scene of the incident yesterday in response to a call about a person burning in front of “Israel’s” embassy. Upon their arrival, they found that the secret service, charged with protecting prominent figures in the American state, had extinguished the fire, noting that the man was taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.

An Air Force spokesman confirmed that the man is an active member of the US Air Force, without giving further details.
