American journalists:  I srael is trying to silence the voices of journalists in Gaza 

American journalists have confirmed that the genocidal war waged by Israel  since  October the 7th  on the besieged Gaza Strip includes journalists and their families upon whom the occupying entity  imposes collective punishment of death and displacement for reporting scenes of events in Gaza and the incidents of horrific massacres committed against civilians and children. 

The journalists, including Aja Arnold from Atlanta, Ray Carringer from West Virginia, Rebecca Chowdhury from New York, Nour Saudi, who live in New York, and Lois Raven Wallace from North Carolina, explained in an open letter published by several websites, including the Washington-based Mondoweiss one , that Israel  killed 81 journalists in Gaza from the 7th of last October until the 4th of this December.

They added that the occupation forces also killed 3 journalists in Lebanon and targeted their colleagues in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, and arrested 44 journalists until the 28th of November.

The journalists pointed out in their letter that the Israeli occupation authorities made the simplest means of communication impossible, and directly targeted journalists covering its massacres in Gaza in addition to  paramedics.

The journalists indicated that such crimes against journalists and media  are not new to the racist Israeli occupation entity, which has been committing similar atrocities to prevent the reporting of the truth since 1948.

They stressed that the level of Israeli crimes against journalists has reached an unprecedented level since the Al-Aqsa Flood operation on the 7th of last October which the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate considered the worst month in the history of international journalism.

The journalists pointed out that the lie of the so-called democracy in countries that support racist crimes and the genocidal war in Gaza has become exposed, adding that Western governments have targeted journalists who unveiled Israel’s crimes or called for an end to its war against the people of Gaza.

The journalists stressed that the killing, arresting, and targeting of journalists and their families is nothing but an embodiment of the reality of the Israeli occupation entity, its colonial extension, policies of apartheid, and the crimes of genocide that it has committed against Palestinians.
