“American Democracy”, Washington’s Deadliest Export

Since declaring its independence in 1776, the United States has been bent on expanding its territory and influence, and with the end of World War II the US has spared no effort to seek global domination.
During the “Cold War”: The United States supported sedition, sowing unrest and destruction against the Soviet Union and Eastern European countries.
After the end of the Cold War, the US promoted the policy of intervention, and often incited the so-called “colour revolutions” in Georgia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, the countries of the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, West Asia, and North Africa.
The successive US administrations have pursued strategies of “world domination”, through similar policies known as the “Containment Policy” under President Harry Truman, the “Smart Power” under President Barack Obama, “America First” under President Donald Trump, and “Build Back Better” under President Joe Biden.
Washington used “double standards” by following the so-called “American exceptionalism”, with no regard for international laws and rules, and severely impeded international cooperation by taking advantage of international organizations and agreements to suit its own needs, while abandoning what contradicts its interests.

The US tried to mislead the world public opinion and sought to impose its values on other countries and launch cultural invasion against them.

The US administrations interferred in the internal affairs of other countries and created conflicts through launching wars and planning colour revolutions, seriously threatening the world peace.

To maintain its hegemony, the United States blatantly and repeatedly violated the UN Charter and the norms of the international law, particularly in Syria, Iran, Iraq, Cuba, Afghanistan and other countries of the world.

The American writer William Blum says in his book “Democracy, America’s Deadliest Export” that since the end of WWII, the United States sought to overthrow 50 democratically elected foreign governments, blatantly interferred in the democratic elections of at least 30 countries and tried to assassinate more than 50 leaders of states.

Since WWII, the United States launched or took part in several wars, including in the Korean peninsula, Vietnam, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. It supported terrorism in these countries, causing massive humanitarian disasters.
In 2003, and despite wide opposition by the world countries, the United States waged a war on Iraq under unjustified pretexts that led to thousands of human casualties.
After September 11, 2001, and under the claim of fighting terrorism, the United States launched wars in several parts of the world, divided the countries into different camps and overthrew legitimate governments, using the double standards policy and the Cold War mentality.
These claims have become Washington’s tool to maintain its hegemony and consolidate the so-called American democracy and values abroad, which badly affected millions of civilians around the world, exaserbated the refugee crisis, led to massive chaos in damaged areas and increased threats to world security.

The United States has violated human rights and freedoms in other countries as proved by the American army’s atrocities against prisoners in afghanistan and Iraq.

The US nonstopped wars under the claim of fighting terrorism have extended to more than 40% of countries of the world.

An American report on a reasearch about “the costs of war” by thd US Brown University revealed that between 770,000-801,000 preople were victims of Washington’s wars after September 11.
