American countries express their solidarity with Iran and condemn the Israeli aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus

Tehran-(ST)- Seven Latin American countries expressed their condemnation of the Israeli aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus and their full solidarity with Iran.

In a letter of solidarity sent on behalf of the ambassadors of Latin American countries, including Bolivia, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, Venezuela, and Uruguay, Bolivia’s Ambassador to Iran Romina Pérez Ramoss said: “What happened is a violation of international laws and it also ignores diplomatic rules. It is an act that endangers the peace and security of the countries of the region in the current complicated period,” adding: “We extend our condolences to the families of the victims of this aggression and wish the wounded a speedy recovery.”

In addition, Abdullahian, in a phone call with his Lebanese counterpart Abdullah Bou Habib, held the United States responsible for the crimes committed by the Zionist entity in the region due to the comprehensive support it provides to it, reiterating that the aggression against the consulate building in Damascus will not go unanswered.

In turn, Bou Habib expressed the condolences and sympathy of the government and people of Lebanon to the government and people of Iran and stressed his strong condemnation of the aggression that contradicts all international treaties, pointing at the same time to the continuous and daily Israeli threats against Lebanon. He also stressed that the Lebanese government, people and resistance do not fear these threats.

For his part, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister for Regional Affairs Deng Li, during a phone call with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ali Bagheri Kani, renewed Beijing’s condemnation of the Zionist aggression, describing it as a flagrant violation of the Vienna Convention, the United Nations Charter, and international law.

For his part, Bagheri appreciated the clear positions of the Chinese government and stressed the need for all countries to deal firmly and responsibly with this terrorist act, and to hold the Zionist entity responsible for violating international laws and conventions.
