American aggression on areas in Deir Ezzor is a flagrant violation of international laws, Czech politician says

Head of the Czechoslovak Institute of International Relations, Jaromir Shalabata, condemned the American aggression on areas in Deir Ezzor near the Syrian-Iraqi border.

“These attacks are a flagrant violation of international laws and Syrian sovereignty, and an indication of the continuation of the American administration in its aggressive policy,” Shalabata said in a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague today.

Shalabata warned of the danger and repercussions of the US aggressive policy that has led to an increase in tension in the region and  to escalation of confrontation and wars. This would pose a grave danger to international security and stability.

Shalabatta emphasized that the United States is present illegally on Syrian territory without the consent of its state. It is obstructing efforts to find a solution to the crisis in Syria and impeding the reconstruction process, while the Syrian state is making efforts to return the displaced to their homes as soon as possible.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates called on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and to move immediately to stop the American attacks on the Syrian territories. It indicated that this aggression constitutes a negative indication of the policies of the new American administration, which is supposed to abide by international legitimacy, international law and Security Council resolutions.
