Ambassadors of Syria,Russia, China, Iran meet on Syrian crisis

TEHRAN, (ST) – Ambassadors of Syria Russia, China and Iran met at the Iranian Embassy in Beirut on Friday at the invitation of the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon and discussed ways to find a feasible solution to the Syrian crisis.

The ambassadors emphasized that the armed conflict in Syria, backed by certain foreign countries, has had no outcome other than more killings and destruction in the Arab country. They unanimously called for an immediate end to the violence, according to MNA.

The diplomatic representatives praised the resistance of the Syrian people, military and government against the terrorist acts of foreign-backed armed groups.

The ambassadors of the four countries stated that a political solution is the only way out of the Syrian crisis and insisted on the need to hold a free and fair election so that the Syrians would determine their political destiny.

They also expressed hope that all regional and international players would take a logical approach toward political issues in the region and help prevent more sedition and bloodshed.
