Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries in Moscow stage a stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza

Ambassadors of Arab and Islamic countries accredited to Russia expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle to achieve their legitimate rights on their land.

The ambassadors carried out a solidarity stand in response to a call from the Palestinian Embassy in Moscow to show solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, to stop the continuing Israeli aggression, to lift the siege, and to condemn the policy of apartheid practiced by Israel against them.

During the stand, Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps to Russia, Lebanese Ambassador Shawqi Bou Nassar, stressed the importance of this solidarity event with the steadfast heroes in Gaza under the barbaric Israeli bombing and under the siege that has been ongoing for many years.

Bou Nassar said: The countries of the Arab world have been calling for the necessity of                                           reaching a comprehensive and just solution to the Palestinian issue, but successive Israeli governments, especially the last ones, have rejected all peace attempts and have continued to commit acts of killing and assault, not only in the occupied territories but in other Arab countries.

The Lebanese ambassador called on the international community, led by Russia, to exert maximum pressure on the Israeli enemy in order to stop the daily massacres it is committing against the children of Gaza and its innocent, and to create a humanitarian truce to bring humanitarian aid and medical materials to the people of Gaza Strip.

Bou Nassar, on his behalf and on behalf of the members of the Council of Arab Ambassadors to Russia, expressed condolences to the Palestinian people as a result of the Israeli aggression.

In turn, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Russia, Abdel Hafeez Nofal, expressed his thanks to the attendees for accepting the invitation. He referred to the dangers posed by the Zionist aggression on Gaza, which seriously threatens the security of the region and global security as a whole, if the international community is unable to stop this disaster targeting the people of Gaza.

Nofal called for a quick cessation of the aggression and the opening of the crossings for the entry of humanitarian aid such as food, medicine and fuel, in addition to the release of Palestinian prisoners and work to resolve the Palestinian issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions, stressing that the Palestinian people will remain on their land forever.

The Syrian Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari, participated in the event.

In interviews with SANA correspondent in Moscow, the Chinese diplomat and media figure accredited to the Russian Al-Balad Personality newspaper in Moscow stressed the necessity of establishing peace in the Middle East region. He considered that the current tension is becoming more severe and may lead to a wide-scale war.

The Chinese diplomat called for an increase in humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza, who are defenseless in the face of Israeli tyranny. He underlined the need to stop the Israeli orgy practiced against neighboring countries, especially the systematic attacks against Syria. He stressed that the United States of America is the main culprit in the repeated attacks on Syrian sovereignty, in the American, Turkish and  Israeli occupation of parts of Syrian territory and in stealing the country’s oil and natural resources.

In a similar interview, Vice President of the Supreme Council of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce in Russia, Murat Kubayev, said: Today, in front of the eyes of the entire world, homes, schools, hospitals, mosques and churches are being destroyed in Gaza, which raises our concern about the successive disasters against the Palestinian people.

Kubayev stressed the role played by the United States in inflaming the situation in the Middle East and its support for the policy of occupation and aggression that it and its allies (Turkey and Israel) have practiced against the Syrian people for several years. He said: Today we are seeing the results of this criminal policy in Gaza.

For her part, editor-in-chief of the Russian Al-Balad Personality newspaper Elizabeta Abramova, considered that what is happening today in the Middle East region is not only a disaster, but heart-breaking crimes as a result of the horror that the civilians are suffering from, in addition to the tragedies of the siege, starvation, and terrorism against the defenseless population. She noted that these crimes rise to the level of crimes against humanity, which the entire international community has to be accountable for.

Abramova considered that the international terrorism practiced in the region and against the Syrian people indicates that the United States is practicing this terrorism at the hands of the Israelis and terrorist organizations at the same time.

She stressed that no matter how long the occupation of Syrian lands lasts, they will not be able to undermine the will forever, and the people must be liberated.
