Ambassador Khaddour: Syria has fulfilled its obligations towards IAEA despite difficult circumstances

VIENNA, Nov 25, (ST)- Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN office and other International Organizations in Vienna Ambassador Hasan Khaddour has affirmed that Syria has fulfilled its obligations towards the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in accordance with the agreements of Comprehensive safeguards and non-proliferation, and it has met all demands on time.
 
His remarks came during the works of IAEA Board of governors. 
 
He said that the track of disruption, adopted by certain sides about Syria, aims to put more pressures on Syria that has been able to meet all needed international obligations according to the Comprehensive safeguards agreement in spite of the difficult circumstances the country is passing through because of the hostile and failed policies of these sides.
 
The ambassador welcomed the continuity of serious discussions being held between Iran and the IAEA to resolve all binding matters. 
 
He in addition affirmed that affirmed that the Israeli occupation entity, with its possession of nuclear capabilities outside the framework of the Comprehensive safeguards agreement, poses a threat to the non-proliferation system and to international and regional peace.
