On January 2nd, Syria’s ambassador to Tehran, Dr. Shafiq Dioub , said that the victories achieved by the axis of resistance represent an important strategic shift that enhances security and stability in the region and is in the interest of the Palestinian cause.
During a speech on the occasion of the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, Ambassador Dioub indicated that Soleimani spent his life in national work, serving his country, the axis of resistance and fighting terrorism and its supporters.
Ambassador Dioub said that the Syrian people will not forget Soleimani’s honorable stances towards their country.
Ambassador Dioub stated that relations between Syria and Iran constitute a model for cooperation between countries, and that strengthening them in all fields represents the greatest gift to the spirit of martyr Soleimani.
Ambassador Dioub pointed out that for more than ten years, Syria has been facing an unparalleled global war in which the enemies mobilized thousands of terrorists and provided them with all facilities and support in terms of financing, training, arming and political protection, in addition to unparalleled media support and unprecedented campaigns to discredit the Syrian national state with all its symbols and institutions, but Syria passed the most difficult stage with the steadfastness and courage of its leadership and the sacrifices of its army and people, and with the support of its allies and friends.
