Damascus,(ST)- The Jordanian Chargé d’Affairs in Damascus, Ambassador Basil Al-Kayed announced that his country operated a land bridge this week consisting of five convoys that included 35 trucks, and contained all kinds of humanitarian, relief and medical aid to the earthquake-affected people in Syria.
Al-Kayed said in a statement that the proceeds of Jordanian aid until tomorrow will reach 110 trucks carrying hundreds of tons of aid, including 10 ambulances. He added that there are also three planes that have arrived in Syria since the earthquake occurred on the sixth of last February.
He indicated that Jordan continues to provide whatever assistance it can to the brotherly Syrian people to overcome this ordeal.
