Ambassador Al-Amrani meets Bely and delivers a message of condolence from President Al-Assad to Lukashenko on the death of the Belarusian Foreign Minister
During his meeting with the Head of the Main Directorate for Asia, Africa and Latin America in the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Igor Bely, the Syrian Ambassador to Belarus, Muhammad Al-Amrani, delivered a letter of condolence from President Bashar al-Assad to Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, on the demise of Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.
During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Amrani offered his warmest condolences and sincere sympathy on behalf of the Syrian government to the Belarusian government, and to the family and friends of the deceased and his colleagues in the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, noting that the late Minister Makei was an experienced diplomat and a loyal friend of Syria, and made great efforts to improve the friendship relations between the two countries.
For his part, Bely expressed Belarus’ thanks and appreciation for the message of condolence sent by President al-Assad to his Belarusian counterpart, and also for the message received from the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal al-Miqdad, noting the merits of the late minister and his role in Belarusian diplomacy and the depth of friendship between the two countries.
Ambassador Al-Amrani participated in the funeral ceremonies of Minister Makei, which was organized by the Belarusian authorities at the Central Officers’ House in the capital, Minsk, and wrote a word in the condolence register at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offering his warmest condolences, on behalf of Syria, to the friendly Belarusian people and to the family and friends of the deceased.
