Ambassador Abdulkarim: Syria will provide all possible assistance to the Syrian victims of Beirut Port blast

The Syrian ambassador to Lebanon, Ali Abdulkarim, confirmed that Syria would provide all possible assistance to the Syrian victims of Beirut port blast.

During his meeting today with a number of the wounded and the families of the martyrs and the missing Syrians as a result of this explosion, Abdulkarim said: “President Bashar al-Assad is attaching great interest to addressing your conditions and the conditions of all Syrian citizens inside and outside Syria,” adding that material and moral support will be provided to those affected by the explosion.

He pointed out that Syria, with its leadership, army and people, and with the help of its allies and friends in the region and the world, will triumph over the terrorism it is exposed to and rebuild what the unjust war against it has destroyed.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Abdulkarim provided financial and food assistance to the families of the martyrs, the wounded and the missing.

In the same context, dozens of volunteers from the Association of Syrian Workers in Lebanon participated in cleaning the streets of Beirut and the southern suburb and removing the rubble resulting from the explosion in Beirut port this month.

Mustafa Mansour, head of the Syrian Workers’ Association, said in a statement to SANA correspondent “the participation expresses solidarity with the Lebanese in general and the people of Beirut and its suburb in particular, especially after the painful explosion that occurred in the port.”

A large explosion occurred in Beirut port on the 4thof August, leaving dozens of victims and more than 6 thousand injured.
