The head of the Communication Department of the Turkish presidency, Fahrettin Altun, confirmed his country’s stand by the Syrian people in the stage of recovery and reconstruction after standing with their struggle for freedom. “Just as we stood with the Syrian people in their struggle for freedom, it is our responsibility to stand by them with the same determination in the stage of recovery and reconstruction,” Altun was quoted by Anadolu on his account on X on the occasion of the Turkish presidency’s release of a short film on the Syrian people’s struggle for freedom.
“Finally, the inevitable destiny of injustice has been realized in Syria, the Ba’ath Party, one of the worst dictatorships in human history, collapsed and the walls of injustice collapsed one after another,” Altun added. In his post on “X”, Altun shared the short film published by the Turkish presidency, showing the scale of grievances in Syrian prisons and recalling testimonies by the late Syrian dissident Michel Kilo when he was in prison, about a child born in a cell who does not know the meaning of the bird and tree.
