Alouk water station in the countryside of Al-Hasakah stops completely due to the practices of the Turkish occupation
Al-Hasakah, (ST) – For the nineteenth time in a row, the Alouk water station in the countryside of Ras Al-Ain in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah has completely stopped working as a result of the practices of the Turkish occupation and the theft of electricity needed for it to operate.
The Director General of Al-Hasakah Electricity Company, Eng. Anwar Akla, said in a statement to the SANA that, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries stole the electricity intended to operate the Alouk station coming from the Darbasiyah power station during the past few days. This matter led to the suspension of operation of the station with its regular capacity to resume pumping water to the people in the city of Al-Hasakah.
Eng. Akla indicated that efforts are continuing to restart the Alouk station again, indicating that the corporation is working to provide drinking water to the people on a daily basis by filling water tanks spread in the neighborhoods, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent. As for washing water, the people secure it through wells dug in streets, parks and homes.
Since its aggression on the Syrian lands on the ninth of last October, the Turkish occupation forces and their terrorist mercenaries have carried out criminal acts of kidnapping, killing, displacement and destruction of infrastructure and service facilities, and have been persistent in burning agricultural crops and stealing property, equipment, agricultural machinery and homes after displacing their owners with false pretexts, in addition to the frequent cutting off drinking water from the Alouk station, which increases the suffering of civilians in Al-Hasakah.
