Allaf excels in India

NEW DELHI,(ST)-Kareem Allaf, the promising Syrian tennis-player, has achieved a remarkable result in Puna International Tennis Tournament in India.

Allaf came second in the doubles contest alongside his British teammate Clark after they lost to opponents from India in the final (2-6-3-6).

En route to the final, Allaf and Clark beat their opponents from India 7-5-7-6 in the semifinal.

In the quarter final ,they also beat their opponents from India 6-1 -6-3.

In the second round ,Allaf beat Indian Basha 6-1-6-3.

In the individual contest, Allaf was whitewashed after losing to a player from Australia (2-6-3-6).
