All Syrians adhere to their National Identity

It is crystal clear from the beginning of the war on Syria in 2011 that the enemies of Syria are plotting to topple the country by all sinister means. The most dangerous one is that which aimed to destruct the Syrian social structure by igniting sectarian strife.

President Bashar al-Assad has warned of the sedition in his speech to the Syrian people shortly after the start of the events in Syria. His Excellency explained that the failure of this conspiracy is considered the responsibility of all Syrians by virtue of their national consciousness of the desperate attempts of the enemies of Syria to stir up sedition, incitement, provocation and violence that some shades of the Syrian people had suffered from.

No one can deny the great suffering of the Syrians since the beginning of the global war on Syria of murder, kidnapping and mutilation and detonate booby-trapped cars by terrorist groups. In addition to media incitement that accompanied all these crimes and portrayed them as a sectarian war between Syrians.

But all these vicious attempts of the west and regional enemies of Syria were shattered in front of the Syrian’s nationality. The conspirators on Syria had forgotten that the Syrian social fabric is based on religious, cultural and political diversity for hundreds of years. Consequently, all Syrians have great loyalty to their Syrian national identity.

The foreign powers and their allies had worked to awakening the sectarian feud among the Syrians in all Syrian cities without exceptions. But the Syrian national spirit and identity that gathered all the Syrians in all Syrian territories was the power which foiled the plot.

The Syrians are strongly aware of the threat which posed to their country because of that they formed the popular defense committees and armed battalions from all Syrian cities to fight side by side with our armed forces in defense of Syrian sovereignty and national identity.
