Alida Guevara offers condolences to the earthquake victims at the Syrian Embassy in Havana

Havana (ST):  Dr. Alida Guevara March, daughter of the fighter Ernesto Che Guevara, offered condolences to Syria and to the families of the victims of the earthquake that hit the country on the sixth of February, expressing her solidarity with them in this painful calamity.

During her visit to the Syrian Embassy in Havana and her meeting with Ambassador Dr. Ghassan Obaid, Guevara condemned the unjust and arbitrary coercive US measures imposed on Syria, stressing that these measures impede the reconstruction process and the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Syrian people, which is further evidence of the hypocrisy of Western countries and Washington towards the  Syrian people and the double standards they practice.

Alida indicated that these sanctions are similar to the unjust criminal sanctions imposed by the United States on Cuba, stressing the need to lift all sanctions on the peoples of the world to enable them to live and develop.
