Algeria’s representative to the Security Council stated:

-The political transition in Syria should be led by the Syrian people, with international support that emphasizes inclusiveness and the empowerment of marginalized groups.
– We are concerned about the ongoing attacks by Israel, which violate Syrian sovereignty. We urge Israel to comply with the 1974 disengagement agreement.
-We call for the lifting of economic sanctions on Syria and the provision of necessary funding to support the economic recovery plan.
