Algerian Foreign Minister: Syria is Present in the Hearts and Souls of Algerians

Algeria (ST) – Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra affirmed that it is normal for Syria to be present in the Arab League and this will happen. He pointed out that the capabilities that Syria possesses add value to joint Arab action.

Lamamra said that, “Syria is constantly present in the heart of Algerians. Algerians stand in sympathy and solidarity with the brotherly Syrian people, who were the first to show solidarity with Algeria in the days of the ordeal. In reality, Syria is present in Algeria through its national flag flying in its streets.”

He added that, “I had the honor of meeting President Bashar Al-Assad recently and learnt about his strategy regarding a meeting with the Arab family”.

Lamamra stressed saying,” we are pleased with the dialogue with the brothers in Syria, and certain that the capabilities that Syria has would promote peaceful solutions to conflicts in the Arab world, and strengthen the Arab position to achieve a just peace in the Middle East that includes reclaiming the occupied Golan.”
